"[A] n the successful concept the two main responsible persons, the keyboard player Ingo Reidl and Hartmut Engler, have wisely not changed anything", for example there are "typical pure love songs", wrote the Stuttgarter Zeitung . The Sächsische Zeitung also found that Pur “created the new album according to a tried and tested recipe. A big spoon of catchy tune, a pinch of social criticism and a pinch of youthful memories will of course not give the music-spoiled connoisseur any pleasure. " Pur remain true to their concept of combining the often kitschy lyrics with sophisticated radio melodies on their new record ”, stated the Sunday newspaper .

"The songs on 'Maechtig viel Theater' (Intercord) are, as one is used to from PUR, absolutely close to real life," said the Frankfurter Neue Presse . For the Saarbrücken newspaper was mighty lot of theater 'yet become a lot more rock "than the previous disc, Adventure Land. A varied album that belongs in every CD collection! ”.
