Like in the movie is a 1988 Intercord published music album of the group Pur . It was the group's last album that failed to make it onto the charts.
Creation and publication
After Pur had released their self-produced album PUR as the first of their albums with a record label a year earlier , the album Wie im Film was created a year later . It was the only pure album for which F. Ferdinand Förster was the producer who was signed by Intercord . This gave the band a sound dominated by keyboards and e-drums, which the band members later criticized. When performing live with titles from this album, the band now uses, according to their own statement, “nicer” arrangements. One of the released singles, Funkelperlenaugen , was the first of the band to be played on the radio across Germany. After the album, the long-term collaboration with producer Dieter Falk began .
On the album, the fictional character Kowalski , created by Pur, appears for the first time , who then appears on numerous other albums of the band, up to the album Mächtig viel Theater from 1998 with the title Kowalski 6 . The title Wenn Sie den Tango reached in 2015 in a cover version by Daniel Wirtz 14th place in the German and 21st place in the Austrian and Swiss charts.
As in the film , it was released on June 1, 1988, but failed to hit the album charts.
As in the film, EMI reissued in 2002, adding three live versions, a karaoke version and an audio commentary to the album.
