Joe Malcolm Harris (born September 6, 1991 in Chelan , Washington ) is an American basketball player . He is currently under contract with the Brooklyn Nets in the NBA .

Professional career

After playing college-level for four years at the University of Virginia , Harris was selected 33rd in the 2014 NBA Draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers . However, Harris saw little playing time with the heavily occupied Cavaliers, so that he was often loaned out to the Canton Charge in the D-League . While he still played 51 season games in his rookie season, he only played 5 season games the following year after suffering a serious foot injury in January 2016 and was handed over to Orlando Magic by the Cavaliers , who immediately dismissed him.

Harris only signed a contract with the Brooklyn Nets in the summer of 2016 , where he rose and developed into a valuable banker. In the 2017/18 season, Harris increased again significantly and scored 10.8 points with very good litter rates. As part of the NBA All-Star Game 2019, Harris won the three-point contest , in the final of which he defeated Stephen Curry and Buddy Hield .
