Johann Georg Krafft
Johann Georg Krafft , also Johann Georg Kraft (born June 8, 1740 in Baiersdorf near Erlangen , † July 2, 1772 in Erlangen) was a German Protestant theologian and university professor .
Life
Johann Georg Krafft was the son of Konrad Adam Krafft, senior actuary, tax and excise collector and his wife Agnes Catharina (née Arzberger); his brother was the lawyer at the University of Erlangen , Sebastian Adam Krafft (1736-1814).
At the beginning he received private lessons at home, among others with Johann Jacob Sartorius , who also recommended him to study, and from 1752 he attended the grammar school in Erlangen (today: grammar school Fridericianum ); there he had lessons from Friedrich Deubner (1701–1758), Johann Samuel Wiesner and Georg Besenbeck, among others . He finished school on May 11, 1756 and enrolled at the University of Erlangen in the summer of 1756 and studied philology , philosophy and theology ; he also heard lectures from Simon Gabriel Suckow , Johann Paul Reinhard , Johann Samuel Wiesner, Joachim Ehrenfried Pfeiffer , Caspar Jakob Huth and Johann Martin Chladni .
On January 2, 1759 he became the second and in 1762 first collaborator at the grammar school in Erlangen, and on February 3, 1763 he was vicar in Erlangen; his ordination took place on July 13, 1763 in Bayreuth .
After he was awarded a Magister phil. doctorate and on 27 April 1765 for philosophy at the University of Erlangen habilitation , he started 1765 lectures than in summer semester lecturer keep Erlangen University. On October 10, 1765 he was appointed associate professor there and on March 22, 1766 admitted to the Philosophical Faculty ; In 1768 he turned down appointments as a high school teacher in Coburg and Rinteln .
On April 21, 1768 he was appointed full third professor of theology and university preacher . He was accepted into the Senate on July 28, 1768.
Before he was admitted to the theological faculty on April 18, 1769 and resigned his teaching post, he received his doctorate on November 2, 1768. theol.
He was friends with the philosopher Johann Georg Heinrich Feder , among others .
Johann Georg Krafft had been married to Kunigunda Eleonora (née Wels) since 1770, and they had one child together.
