Johann Gottlieb Gonne (born June 24, 1713 in Querfurt , † February 24, 1758 in Erlangen ) was a German lawyer and university professor .

Life

Johann Gottlieb Gonne was the son of the musician Johann Michael Gonne († September 1749) and his wife Anna Magdalena, b. Kirchheim.

He attended the public city school in Querfurt, which was directed by the rector Adam Röder, and began studying law at the University of Halle at Easter 1730 ; There he heard lectures in philosophy , theology , history and law with Professors Justus Henning Böhmer , Johann Gottlieb Heineccius , Johann Peter von Ludewig , Johann Lorenz Fleischer , Karl Gottlieb Knorre , Martin Schmeitzel and the private lecturer Daniel Friedrich Hoheisel (1698–1732).

The then university chancellor Johann Peter von Ludewig took Johann Gottlieb Gonne into his home while studying and later trusted him to educate and educate his grandson Ludwig August Krug von Nidda (1736–1784), a son of Philipp Friedrich von Krug von Nidda (1689 -1743).

On August 31, 1745 Johann Gottlieb Gonne married Juliane Christine, widow of the consultant Krotwolf. They had two sons together who, however, died at a young age.

Writing

Most of his writings are Latin dissertations and treatises on legal, historical and antiquarian topics. He also wrote in the period from 1744 to 1755 for the Erlang scholar advertisements .
