Johann Leopold Konstantin von Larisch (born May 8, 1752 in Brodek ( Rybnik district ), † April 14, 1815 in Oels ) was a Prussian major general .

His parents were the heir to Brodek Franz Georg von Larisch (* 1702; † July 28, 1771) and his wife Katharina, née von Fuglar from the Kaltwasser family.

Life

In August 1767, Larisch joined the cuirassier regiment "von Manstein" of the Prussian army as a standard junker . On June 2, 1771, he was transferred to the "von Roeder" cuirassier regiment as a cornet and on September 20, 1775, he advanced to lieutenant. As such, he took part in the War of the Bavarian Succession in 1778/79 . After the war, on December 8, 1779, he became an adjutant of the Lower Silesian Cavalry Inspection, and in this position rose to the rank of staff cavalry officer on August 24, 1785, and to cavalry master on August 23, 1790 . On May 20, 1791, with an allowance of 300 thalers, he was appointed adjutant to General von Tschirschky .

During the First Coalition War , Larisch fought in the Battle of Kaiserslautern and the sieges of Mainz and Landau . On May 9, 1793 he was appointed major and on July 4, 1795 squadron chief in the Dragoon Regiment "von Werther" . Larisch rose to lieutenant colonel on June 9, 1802 , received command of the regiment on April 30, 1803, and became a colonel on June 10, 1804 . During the Fourth Coalition War he fought in the battle of Prussian Eylau and in the battle of Soldau. Larisch received the order Pour le Mérite for Soldau on February 27, 1807 . After the reorganization of the army, he became commander of the 1st West Prussian Dragoon Regiment on February 27, 1807. Nevertheless, he received his departure on January 16, 1810 with the character of a major general and a pension of 600 thalers. In 1811 Larisch was awarded the Order of St. Vladimir II Class. He died on April 14, 1815 and was buried on April 16, 1815 in the castle church in Oels.

Larisch married Karoline Friederike von Taupadel on April 26, 1780 in Breslau (* September 22, 1749 - † May 26, 1827).
