Döhler Gardens

In Rochlitz , Döhler organized the virgin association . On May 27, 1914 he founded the Evangelical National Workers' Association . The idea arose from the work to set up an allotment garden for the members. On March 19, 1915 - the First World War - one asked the City Council and the City Council to provide, fertile land with irrigation and expansion options. The lease agreement should take into account "the non-profit nature of the company and the poorly-funded population". The contract signed on April 1, 1915 assigned the association to a field plot with a meadow slope on the vineyard (Sauberg). The land was divided into 133 parcels and given to 64 tenants. After Döhler's death, the Sauberg allotment garden was renamed “Döhler gardens”. On October 31, 1915, the association planted an oak named after him . Until when it stood is not known. The memorial stone placed on August 4, 1916 was placed under monument protection in 1999 .
