Johannes R. Koehler
Johannes R. Köhler (born October 19, 1933 in Bad Kissingen ) is a German composer , conductor and poet .
Life
Köhler had already dealt with music, art and literature at an early age. But at the age of 22 he had to take over his father's carpet business in Bad Kissingen. It was not until the age of 38 that he began studying music (composition and conducting) in Würzburg . The experience of the death of his Bernese mountain bitch prompted Köhler to write his first album Emotions . He then published numerous sound carriers with his compositions and arrangements, played by the Munich Symphony Orchestra . Köhler sells his music exclusively on the Internet and in his own shop on the Bad Kissingen market square.
Köhler combines his recording projects with fundraising campaigns. In total, he donated around 750,000 euros from his income as a composer and musician until 2010. a. the German Animal Welfare Association , the Karlheinz Böhm project “ People for People ”, the German Heart Foundation , the Nature Conservation Association Germany , the Problem Child Campaign , UNICEF and the German Seniors Aid Board .
Köhler's music was used by the Bad Kissingen ENT professor Claus-Frenz Claussen in the research and treatment of tinnitus .
Köhler was city councilor of Bad Kissingen for 30 years, treasurer of the local Red Cross association for 28 years , founder and board member of the “Kissinger Kunst- und Kulturkreis” (KKKK) for ten years. He was 16 years on the board of the Lebenshilfe Bad Kissingen, 12 years local orphan council and 8 years parish council chairman of the St. Elisabeth church . For this he received the "Silver Citizen Medal" of the city of Bad Kissingen on October 6, 2017
The idea for naming the KissSalis Therme goes back to him . The name is composed of "Kissingen - Salus - Aquis" and means "Kissinger - healing waters" as an abbreviation.
At the age of 81 years, he received his doctorate in 2014 at the Faculty of Economics, TU Chemnitz to Dr. rer. pole. (Doctor of Politics and Economics).

Under the brand name Musik zum Streicheln , Köhler released the 17 sound carriers: Feelings , Tenderness , Dreams , Moments , Dew of the Soul , Impressions , Bright Spots , Security , Memories , Intimacy , Cautiousness , Satisfaction , Encounters , Children's and Lullabies , The Most Beautiful Folk Songs , Wonderful Christmas Time , Medical Special edition - reassuring . The recordings were all made under his direction with the Munich Symphony Orchestra. In addition, the sampler gala concert and Sisi Romantik as well as the big band CD Musical Journey with the orchestra William Gardner were released.
