John Allen Henson (born December 30, 1990 in Greensboro , North Carolina ) is an American basketball player who is currently under contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers in the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Career

college

Henson played for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for three years . He was considered one of the best defenders during this time and was named ACC Defensive Player of the Year in 2011 and 2012 . In his junior year he scored 13.7 points, 9.9 rebounds , 1.3 assists and 2.9 blocks per game.

NBA

In the 2012 NBA Draft , Jones was selected 14th by the Milwaukee Bucks . His best game so far succeeded Henson on April 10, 2013 when he scored 17 points, 25 rebounds and 7 blocks in the loss to the Orlando Magic .

He scored 6.0 points, 4.7 rebounds and 0.7 blocks in his first year and reached the playoffs with the Bucks, where they were eliminated in the first round. By injuring Larry Sanders , Henson doubled his time in his sophomore year.
