Career

Jonas began his career in the junior division of the AD São Caetano . In this he also made the leap into professional football. In the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A 2006 he played his first game in Brazil's top division on April 16, 2006 against Cruzeiro Belo Horizonte . In the same season he also scored his first professional goal. In the 3-0 win over Santa Cruz FC , Jonas scored the 2-0 in the 51st minute. At the end of the season, his club had to relegate as the penultimate. Joans switched to runner-up SC Internacional . Here he remained under contract until the end of 2009 and then changed club almost every year, where he was always able to play in the A series in the league. At the end of the 2016 season, after the relegation of his club América Mineiro, he moved to Série B , for the 2017 season to Botafogo FR, which played in Série A. Due to knee surgery, he only played two games in the state championship and three in the 2017 Copa Libertadores . He was out the rest of the season.

At the beginning of May 2018 Jonas switched to Joinville EC . The contract was terminated early in July 2018. The reason was the early dismissal of the Joinville coach, as a result of which several players had to leave the club. For the 2019 season Jonas got a new contract with Ituano FC .

For the 2019 championship in Série B, Jonas went to the Cuiabá EC .
