José Guillermo "Chemo" del Solar Alvarez-Calderón (born November 28, 1967 in Lima ) is a former Peruvian football player and current coach .

Childhood and youth

Chemo grew up with his mother, Carmela Alvarez, and his father, José del Solar.

National team career

Chemo was the captain of the Peruvian national team .

Coaching career

After his active career, del Solar worked as a trainer. As the successor to Argentine Mariano Sosa , he will take over as coach at Sporting Cristal from January 2017 .
