Josef Antonín Hůlka
Josef Antonín Hůlka (born February 10, 1851 in Velenovy , † February 10, 1920 in Budweis ) was Bishop of Budweis .
Life
Josef Antonín Hůlka was ordained a priest on July 18, 1875 in Budweis . As a canon of the cathedral chapter there , he was later appointed chancellor of the consistory .
After the death of Bishop Martin Josef Říha from Budweis , Franz Joseph I , who had the right of nomination in his capacity as Emperor of Austria, appointed Josef Antonín Hůlka as his successor on December 4, 1907. On December 16, 1907, Pope Pius X confirmed the appointment. The episcopal ordination took place on January 6, 1908.
