Joseph Anton Dreher (born September 6, 1794 in Illereichen ; † June 26, 1849 there ) was a German organ builder who worked in Upper Swabia in the 19th century .

Life

Joseph Anton Dreher was the son of the organ builder Meinrad Dreher and continued his workshop from around 1828. It is of regional importance for the Upper Swabian organ landscape . Fourteen new organs in Swabia can be traced back to Dreher's father and son , three of which have been (partially) preserved.

Speculative is a relationship with the organ builder Max Dreher (born May 27, 1886 in Hausen am Tann ; † November 27, 1967 in Salzburg ), who worked as an organ builder in the province of Salzburg from 1916 , and ran a branch in Augsburg until 1939.
