Juan José "Juanjo" Narváez Solarte (born February 12, 1995 in Pasto ) is a Colombian football player . His preferred position is that of the striker . He has been under contract with Betis Sevilla since 2016 and has been on loan to the Spanish second division UD Almería since 2018 .

Club career

Juanjo Narváez started playing football at the club in his hometown, Deportivo Pasto, at the age of seven. On March 9, 2011, he made his first-team debut in the Copa Postobón against Deportivo Cali and on April 7, his first league encounter for his club, who was playing in the Primera B category , followed against Alianza Petrolera . Juanjo Narváez scored the goal to make it 2-0 in the 20th minute of the 3-0 win. Overall, he took it that season to six appearances in the league and seven in the Cup and his team rose as a master in the Categoría Primera A on. In the following season he played two games in the first division and eight cup games for Deportivo Pasto.

In December 2012, the then 17-year-old Juanjo Narváez moved to Real Madrid's junior academy and played the rest of the season in the capital's U-18 team ( Juvenil B ). In the summer of 2013 he rose to the A-youth of the "Royal" with whom he also played in the UEFA Youth League .

Due to his strong performance at the beginning of the season, he celebrated his first appearance on November 10, 2013 for Real Madrid Castilla , the club's second team, which was playing in the Segunda División at the time. In January 2016 he moved to Betis Sevilla. There he moved up to the professional team in the summer of 2017.
