Overview
In the men's race, the Jukola relay (Finnish Jukolan viesti ) won the Finnish relay of Kalevan Rasti from the eastern Finnish city of Joensuu for the third time in a row. On the late evening route, Carl Godager Kaas first brought the traditional Norwegian club Bækkelagets SK into the lead. Before switching to the third leg, the Frenchman Philippe Adamski from Kalevan Rasti had brought the later winning relay into the lead for the first time, but the following runner, Aaro Asikainen, could not keep it. By the fifth link, Kalevan Rasti now fell back by up to six minutes. The leadership had meanwhile IFK Lidingö SOK taken from Sweden, first of all Järla orientation , then before Södertälje Nykvarn orientation . Around half past five in the morning, Lidingös Fredrik Johansson was the first to take the cards from his club mate Mårten Boström , almost at the same time as Jonas Leandersson , who was the last runner in Södertälje Nykvarn Orienterings. The Swiss Fabian Hertner had run Kalevan Rasti back to third place on the sixth distance, two and a half minutes behind. The trump card of the Finnish team on the final long distance was now the experienced Frenchman Thierry Gueorgiou , who actually made up the deficit and took the lead on the ninth of 22 positions and did not give up until the finish in front of Johansson von Lidingö. Three and a half minutes later, Leandersson followed in third place for Södertälje Nykvarn Orientering.
In the Venla Relay ( Venlojen viesti in Finnish ), the race for women that starts at noon, the Danish relay team of OK Pan Århus repeated the success at the Jämsä-Jukola 2013. After the first five kilometers, Karoliina Sundberg brought the relay Lynx from Finland lead by ten seconds. Right at the beginning of the second season, Signe Søes brought the defending champions from OK Pan Århus into the front and extended the lead to around one minute. Even under Pan's third runner Maja Alm, the lead increased to 2:40 minutes when switching to the final stretch. Here she proved Pans Ida Bobach as the fastest and led her club with almost four minutes ahead of Tampereen Pyrintö in first place. Third place went to OK Linné with final runner Annika Billstam .
The youth jukola (Finnish Nuorten Jukola ) took place on August 16 in Kankaanpää . Tampereen Pyrintö won by almost six minutes over Helsingin Suunnistajat . The season of Espoon Suunta ran into third place .

Organization and competition area
The organizing club was the Kuopion Suunnistajat (KuoSu) club, founded in 1948 . The association has already organized nine Finnish championships as well as the ski orienteering world championships in 1988 . In 1996 KuoSu was co-organizer of the Jukola in Rautavaara.
The approximately 12 km² competition area southwest of Vehmersalmi includes hilly terrain and smaller areas of water, with little vegetation allowing easy runability. No clear cuts have recently been carried out in the area.
Jussi Silvennoinen took the map between 2010 and 2013. The scale was 1: 10,000 and the equidistance was 5 meters.
