Julia Sontag (born July 5, 1988 in Krefeld - Uerdingen ) is a German theater and television actress .

Life

Sontag passed the entrance exam at the Bavarian Theater Academy August Everding in Munich at the age of 16 and began her acting studies at the age of 17 in 2005, which she graduated with a diploma in 2009. During her training in 2007/2008 she played a stage version of the film Dogville at the Metropol-Theater in Munich , which was awarded the ensemble prize of the Münchner Merkur .

At the Akademietheater in Munich she appeared as Hermia in the comedy A Midsummer Night's Dream (2008), as the farmer's girl Käthchen in As You Like It (2009), as Madame Chandebise in the comedy Floh im Ohr (2010) by Georges Feydeau and in 2010 as Flora in the One-stroke 27 wagons full of cotton from Tennessee Williams .

In the 2009/2010 season she appeared at the Saarland State Theater in Saarbrücken as Dorothy in a stage version of the children's book The Magician of Oz . She also appeared in the Prinzregententheater in Munich and at the Stadttheater Ingolstadt (2009 as Fee in Fairy Queen by Henry Purcell in a version for actors) and took part in the city project of the Münchner Kammerspiele . In 2010 she took over the role Sams in the play A week of Saturdays by Paul Maar at the Kammerspiele Paderborn. Then she played Marianne in Harald Demmer's production of Tartuffe at the Alten Schauspielhaus Stuttgart in 2011 . From August 2011 to the beginning of 2013 she was a member of the ensemble at the Thalia Theater in Halle (Saale) . She played various roles there, including Aljona in the fairy tale Die feuerrote Blume , the title role in Kleist's play Das Käthchen von Heilbronn and Mimi in Mimi and Mozart by Doris Dörrie . Since October 2013 she can be seen as a daughter at the Vaganten stage in Berlin in a stage version of the story Das Muschelessen by Birgit Vanderbeke .

On television Julia Sontag was seen in a supporting role in the ARD television film Hopfensommer and in 2010 in the game scenes of the television program Aktenzeichen XY ... unsolved . She also stood in front of the camera for the film Blaubeerblau , directed by Rainer Kaufmann . She also worked in various short films , for example at the Munich University of Television and Film .

From May to November 2013 she appeared in the ARD series Verbotene Liebe as designer Martha Wolf.
