Jurij Repe (born September 17, 1994 in Kranj ) is a Slovenian ice hockey player who has been playing on loan with HC Kladno in the Czech first division , the country's second-highest division , since 2015 . He has been under contract with the extra league club HC Oceláři Třinec since 2014 .

Career

Jurij Repe began his career as an ice hockey player in the youth department of HK MK Bled , for whose U20 team he played in the highest junior league in Slovenia. In 2009 he moved to the Czech Republic, where he was active in various youth teams at HC Oceláři Třinec . After the Saint John Sea Dogs had drawn him in the first round in the first round of the CHL Import Draft as the 34th player, he dared to jump across the pond and played for the team from New Brunswick in the Ligue de hockey junior majeur du for two years Quebec . He then returned to Třinec, where he is still under contract, but initially plays with the second-rate HC AZ Havířov in 2010 and since 2015 with its league rivals HC Kladno . For HC Oceláři Třinec, he has only played one main round and two playoff games in the Extraliga .

International

For Slovenia, Repe took part in the junior division of the U18 World Championships in 2010 in Division II and in 2011 and 2012 in Division I, as well as in the U20 World Championships in Division I in 2012 and 2013 .

In the senior division, he was in his country's squad for the first time at the 2016 World Cup in Division I and rose with his team to the top division, where he then played in 2017 . He also represented his colors in the successful Olympic qualification for the Winter Games in Pyeongchang 2018 .
