The Gudensberg District Court ( Gudensberg Justice Office until 1867 ) was a court of ordinary jurisdiction that existed from 1822 to 1943, as a branch until 1971, with its seat in the north Hessian city of Gudensberg .

history

By an ordinance of June 29, 1821, the previously jointly exercised state powers of justice and administration were separated . In the Electorate of Hesse , the previous Gudensberg office , which had been responsible for both administration and justice within its district, became the Gudensberg Justice Office, which only functioned as a lower court. The district of the Gudensberg Justice Office consisted of the towns of Gudensberg and Niedenstein and the neighboring villages of Besse , Dissen , Dorla , Ermetheis , Gleichen , Grifte , Haldorf , Holzhausen am Hahn , Kirchberg , Lohne , Maden , Metze , Obervorschütz , Wehren , Werkel and Wichdorf .

After the annexation of Kurhessen by the Kingdom of Prussia after the German War , a royal ordinance was issued in June 1867 that reorganized the court system in the former Electorate of Hesse. The previous courts have been repealed and replaced by local courts in the first, district courts in the second and an appellate court in the third instance. The previous judicial office was renamed the Gudensberg District Court and assigned to the district of the Cassel District Court .

Due to the Courts Constitution Act , it came into the district of the newly established Kassel Regional Court with effect from October 1, 1879 ; the district of the Gudensberg District Court did not change.

In 1943 the Gudensberg District Court lost its independence and became a branch of the Fritzlar District Court .
