Kadingilan is a metropolitan parish in Bukidnon Province on Mindanao Island in the Philippines . It has 33,778 inhabitants (August 1, 2015 census) who live in 17 barangays . It belongs to the third income bracket of the communities in the Philippines and is described as partially urbanized . It became an independent administrative unit of a municipality on August 16, 1971 with the entry into force of the Republic of the Philippines Act 6268.
Their neighboring communities are Don Carlos in the north, Kitaotao , Kibawe and Dangcagan in the northeast, Pangantucan in the northwest, Banisilan and Carmen in the province of Cotabato in the southwest and Damulog in the southeast. The community is located approx. 75 km southeast of the provincial capital Malaybalay City , approx. 177 km south of the regional capital Cagayan de Oro . The topography of the municipality is described as gently rolling flat land in the east and as hilly land in the west. The name Kadingilan is derived from the local words KADIAY, which means ours, and the word MATINGILAN, which means temporarily.
