Kalilangan is a metropolitan parish in Bukidnon Province on Mindanao Island in the Philippines . It has 41,601 inhabitants (August 1, 2015 census) who live in 14 barangays . It belongs to the second income bracket of the communities in the Philippines and is described as partially urbanized .
Its neighboring communities are Maguing in the northwest, Bumbaran in the west and Wao in the southwest, all in the province of Lanao del Sur , Talakag in the north and Pangantucan in the east and south. The topography of the municipality is described as mountainous with large canyon-like valleys and large plateaus . In the north are the mountains of the Mount Kalatungan Range .
In the northeast of the community is the Mount Kalatungan Range Natural Park . The Tausa and Pantaka lakes are in the Barangay Canituan, they are considered good bathing water. The salt water lake in Sitio New Janiuay, Barangay Ninoy Aquino, has a higher concentration of sulfur and is one of the few salt water lakes in the Philippines. From Pod-ong Peak in Barangay Malinao you have a beautiful panoramic view of the surrounding areas.
