Pangantucan is a metropolitan parish in Bukidnon Province on Mindanao Island in the Philippines . It has 53,126 inhabitants (August 1, 2015 census) who live in 19 barangays . It belongs to the first income bracket of the communities in the Philippines and is described as partially urbanized .
Its neighboring communities are Talakag in the north, Valencia City in the northeast, Maramag , Don Carlos in the east and Kadingilan in the south. Kalilangan is in the west. The municipality of Wao in the province of Lanao del Sur and Banisilan in the Proninz Cotabato are located in the southwest. The municipality is located approximately 75 km southeast of the provincial capital Malaybalay City and approximately 167 km south of the regional capital Cagayan de Oro .
The topography of the municipality is dominated in the north by the Kalatungan mountain range , which rises up to 2,824 meters. The southern part of the parish is described as gently rolling.
One of the main tourist attractions is the Mount Kalatungan Range Natural Park . At the foot of the nature park lies the 36-hectare Napalit Lake, on which, depending on the direction and strength of the wind, small islands appear and are flooded again.
