The Kahltal-Spessart-Radwanderweg , also called the Kahltal-Spessart-Radweg , is an approx. 71 km long cycle path in Bavaria .

course

The Kahltal-Spessart-Radwanderweg begins in Kahl am Main , where the Kahl flows into the Main . It leads in the Kahlgrund to the Kahlquelle along the Kahl through Alzenau , Kälberau , Michelbach , Brücken , Niedersteinbach , Mömbris , Mensengesäß , Schimborn , Königshofen , Blankenbach , Schöllkrippen , Kleinlaudenbach and Kleinkahl . The Kahltal-Spessart-cycle path then continues through the Spessart over Heinrichsthal , Heigenbrücken , Neuhütten , Partenstein and ends in Lohr am Main .

The cycle path offers an alternative from Heinrichsthal, not over Heigenbrücken, but over the other side of the mountain via Wiesthal to Partenstein. Both routes meet again in Krommenthal .

The Kahltal-Spessart-Radwanderweg offers the possibility to ride the "Main-Viereck" as a circular route because it forms a bridge through the Spessart (Kahl / Main to Lohr / Main). It is suitable for sporty cyclists. Beginners should therefore prefer to use the longer Main Cycle Path .

Path quality

The Kahltal-Spessart-Radweg runs mostly on paved forest paths and less frequented roads. The surface quality is field or forest path quality.

Connection to other major cycle paths:
