The Kamow Ka-126 ( Russian Камов Ка-126 ) is a multi-purpose helicopter with a coaxial rotor made by the Russian manufacturer Kamow .

The Ka-126 is a further development of the Ka-26 . In contrast to the two piston engines of the previous model, the Ka-126 has a single turbine engine as its drive. The TL TWD-100 sits on the roof of the helicopter and drives two three-bladed rotors in the coaxial design that has proven itself at Kamow. Otherwise the Ka-126 corresponds to the Ka-26 in terms of design and layout. The more powerful engine enables stationary hovering even near the ground.

The development took place from 1986 in the Soviet Union , the production from 1989 in Romania . G. Issajew completed the first flight on October 19, 1988. In the Ka-128 variant, a 722 hp Turbomeca Arriel 1D1 shaft turbine was used.
