Algrange ( German Algringen ) is a French commune with 6144 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Thionville and is the capital of the canton of Algrange .

The municipality of Algrange is located in a side valley of the Fensch , about ten kilometers west of Thionville .

Freetime activities
In Algrange there is a permanent mountain biking - downhill track as well as some North Shore Drops, Roadgaps, table football and a Dirtteil. But there is no elevator; when contests take place, a shuttle service transports the drivers up the mountain.
