Rurange-lès-Thionville (German Rörchingen , Lorraine Rurchéngen ) is a French commune with 2,494 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ).

The municipality of Rurange-lès-Thionville is about eleven kilometers southeast of Thionville . The two southern villages of Logne ( Leiserhof ) and Montrequienne ( Monterchen ) have also belonged to the municipality since 1812 .

history

The place was first mentioned in 1179 as Runeringa and has belonged to France since 1661.
