Grindorff-Bizing (German Grindorf , 1941-44 Gründorf or Bisingen ) is a French commune with 317 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Thionville .
The inhabitants call themselves Grindorffois and Bizingeois . Her nicknames are " Di Gréindrowwer Schlecken " and " Di Béisénger Horran ".

Grindorff-Bizing is located about 25 kilometers east of Thionville near the Saarland border at an altitude between 230 and 298 m above sea level. The municipal area covers 6.86 km².
history
The place has belonged to France since 1661 and consists of Grindorff ( Grindorf ) and the southern village of Bizing ( Bisingen ).
Until April 10, 2002, the community name was simply Grindorff.
