Clouange is a French commune with 3495 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Thionville .

The municipality of Clouange is located on the Orne , about 20 kilometers southwest of Thionville and 20 kilometers northwest of Metz at an altitude between 164 and 327 m. The municipality covers 3.01 km².

history

The municipality of Clouange has existed since April 1, 1907, before it was part of the municipality of Vitry-sur-Orne . 1907-18 she had the Germanized name Kluingen , 1940-44 blades .
