Bertrange ( German Bertringen ) is a French commune with 2,691 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ).

geography

The municipality of Bertrange is located six kilometers south of Thionville on the eastern bank of the Moselle . Imeldange (Immeldingen), a little to the east, belongs to the municipality of Bertrange .

history

The place was first mentioned in 848 as Bertinerengas and has belonged to France since 1661.
