Klang (German Klangen ) is a French commune with 239 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Thionville .

geography

The community of Klang is located in a side valley of the Canner , around 15 kilometers east of Thionville at an altitude between 195 and 335 m above sea level. The municipality covers 4.19 km².

history

The place was mentioned as Klingen in 1594 .
Klang was built on the site of a Roman settlement and has belonged to France since 1661.
