Kirsch-lès-Sierck (German Kirsch bei Sierck , Lorraine Kiisch ) is a French commune with 308 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Thionville .

Kirsch-lès-Sierck is located near the border triangle France-Luxembourg-Germany, about 20 kilometers northeast of Thionville at an altitude between 274 and 372 m above sea level. The municipality covers 8.85 km².

history

The village has belonged to France since 1661. From 1871 to 1918 it belonged to the realm of Alsace-Lorraine in the German Empire.
