The canton Leimsfeld was an administrative unit in the Halle district of the Saale department in the Napoleonic Kingdom of Westphalia . The main town of the canton and seat of the justice of the peace was the town of Leimbach in today's district of Mansfeld-Südharz . The canton comprised a city, four parishes and several hamlets , was inhabited by 3,218 people and had an area of 0.79 square miles . It emerged from the Magdeburg-Mansfeld office of Leimbach .
