The canton Löbejün was an administrative unit in the Halle district of the Saale department in the Napoleonic Kingdom of Westphalia .
The main town of the canton and seat of the justice of the peace was Löbejün in today's Saalekreis . The canton comprised 1 city, 8 municipalities with several hamlets and farms, some of which were on the Electoral Saxon territory. It was inhabited by 4,474 people and had an area of 1.35 square miles . It emerged from part of the hall circle of the Duchy of Magdeburg . Part of the canton belonged to the Petersberg office , which historically belonged to the Electorate of Saxony until 1697 . For this reason, some courtyards were in Electoral Saxony.
