Nauendorf is a district of the town Wettin-Löbejün in the northern Saalekreis in Saxony-Anhalt , Germany .

In addition to the village of Nauendorf, the villages of Kleinmerbitz , Merbitz and Priester belong to the village. The Götsche rises in Kleinmerbitz .
history
Nauendorf was first mentioned in 1207 as "Niendorp". At that time the place belonged to the County of Wettin . In the same year, Count Friedrich II. Von Brehna and Wettin transferred his property and patronage over the church in Niendorp to the Petersberg monastery . In 1288 Count Otto von Brehna sold the County of Wettin with all its accessories to the Archdiocese of Magdeburg . As a result, Niendorp came to the Giebichenstein Office , whose official seat was at Giebichenstein Castle near Halle. In 1400 Heinrich von Merwitz received goods in the place. In the 14th and 15th centuries, several written vassals and citizens from Halle, Giebichenstein, Alsleben, Wettin and Rothenburg owned properties in "Nygendorff".
As a result of the annexation of the Archbishopric of Magdeburg to Prussia, from 1680 Nauendorf belonged to the hall circle of the Brandenburg-Prussian Duchy of Magdeburg . With the Peace of Tilsit in 1807, the place was incorporated into the Kingdom of Westphalia and assigned to the Halle district in the Saale department. He belonged to the canton Wettin , temporarily also to the canton Löbejün . After Napoleon's defeat and the end of the Kingdom of Westphalia, Napoleon's allied opponents liberated the Saalkreis in early October 1813. During the political reorganization after the Congress of Vienna in 1815, Nauendorf was attached to the Merseburg administrative district of the Prussian province of Saxony in 1816 and assigned to the Saalkreis.
With the opening of the Halle-Halberstadt railway line in 1872, Nauendorf received a train station. In 1900 the Nauendorf – Gerlebogk small railway was opened. However, travel on this route was stopped again in 1963.
On July 1, 1950, Merbitz and Priester were incorporated . On January 1, 2011, the cities of Löbejün and Wettin as well as the municipalities of Brachwitz , Döblitz , Domnitz , Gimritz , Nauendorf, Neutz-Lettewitz , Plötz and Rothenburg , which had previously been part of the Saalkreis Nord administrative association , became the new city of Löbejün-Wettin, which received its current name Wettin-Löbejün on April 7, 2011.

Transport links
The A 14 , which runs from Leipzig to Magdeburg , runs a few kilometers to the west and south of the town. The next exit is " Halle-Trotha ". In the village there is a train station on the Halle-Halberstadt railway line . Up to 1963, people were transported on the Nauendorf – Gerlebogk small railway line .
