Löbersdorf is a district of the village of Göttnitz within the city of Zörbig in the Anhalt-Bitterfeld district ( Saxony-Anhalt ). Löbersdorf is one of the 18 places that together form the city of Zörbig.

history

Until 1815 Löbersdorf belonged partly to the Electoral Saxon offices of Zörbig and Delitzsch . The latter part formed an exclave of the Delitzsch office with neighboring Göttnitz, which in writing belonged to the Ostrau manor .

Furthermore, a Freihof in the village belonged to the Petersberg office , which the Saxon Elector Augustus the Strong sold with all accessories to Brandenburg-Prussia in 1697 . The Freihof was now surrounded by Electoral Saxon territory and belonged to the Prussian Saalkreis in the Duchy of Magdeburg . Through the Peace of Tilsit he came to the Kingdom of Westphalia in 1807 and was incorporated into the canton Löbejün , which was located in the Halle district of the Saale department .

After the defeat of Napoléon and the end of the Kingdom of Westphalia in 1813, as well as the resolutions of the Congress of Vienna in 1815, the entire village of Löbersdorf became part of Prussia and in 1816 was assigned to the district of Bitterfeld in the administrative district of Merseburg of the province of Saxony , to which it belonged until 1944.

Löbersdorf was incorporated into the community of Göttnitz on July 1, 1950. On March 1, 2004, the former municipality of Göttnitz with its district Löbersdorf was incorporated as a locality into the new unified municipality of Zörbig.
