Karasu ( Turkish for black water ) is a city and a district in the Turkish province of Sakarya . The district has 53,275 inhabitants on an area of ​​457 km², who live mainly in the 30 villages.

After Adapazarı , Akyazı and Hendek, the district is the most populous of the 13 districts in Sakarya Province.

Since Karasu is on the Black Sea coast, the region is a popular travel destination for the local population.
