Pamukova is a city and a district in the Turkish province of Sakarya . The place is about 35 kilometers southwest of the provincial capital Adapazarı .
The district is located in the southwest of the province. It is bordered to the northeast by Sapanca , to the east and south by Geyve , to the southwest by the province of Bursa and to the northwest by the province of Kocaeli . The city and the district crosses the D-650 trunk road, which runs from Antalya on the Mediterranean via Burdur , Afyonkarahisar and Kütahya to Karasu on the Black Sea . The Sakarya River flows along the southern border and flows further north into the Black Sea . Part of the Samanlı Dağları mountain range extends through the north of the district . In the west is the Hüseyinli Göleti reservoir .
A section of the Anatolian Railway from Adapazarı to Eskişehir runs through Pamukova . At the village Mekece in the south of the county which occurred on 22 July 2004 railway accident Mekece .
