Akyazı is a city in Turkey . It is located in the province of Sakarya in the district of the same name (Turkish ilçe ), about 25 km southeast of the city of Adapazarı . Geographically, Akyazı is on the border of Bolu. The city had 41,157 inhabitants in 2008 (in 2000: 47,700). The population density in the district is with 136 inhabitants / km² one of the highest in the entire province. Some of these villages such as Sultanpinarı, Boztepe, Kuzuluk, Dokurcun and Altınoluk are of tourist importance because of their mountains, rivers and their Islama Köfte .
