Karl-Heinz Blumenberg

Karl-Heinz "Carlo" Blumenberg (born April 29, 1948 ; † February 24, 2016 in Hamburg ) was a German musician, editor, presenter and media consultant. As a singer he had success with the title "Tuut Tuut" by the group Leinemann . He worked as an editor for the magazines Hörzu , Neue Revue and stern as well as ten years as editor-in-chief at Bella .

Life

Karl-Heinz Blumenberg studied political science in Hamburg with Winfried Steffani (CDU), graduated as a political scientist and initially worked as his assistant. As a member of the Hamburg scene , he took part in various Hamburg music groups. He played with Leinemann , the Harburg rock band Thrice Mice and the brass pop formation Altona , which made a name for itself in Krautrock . In 1981 and 1983 he took part in the preliminary rounds for the Grand Prix Eurovision with Leinemann . The title "Tuut Tuut" reached 15th place in Germany in 1985 and is considered Leinemann's greatest hit.

Under the pseudonym "Harry Horror" he published a title about the serial killer Fritz Honka in 1975 . The title developed into a club hit, although the rental company RCA initially refrained from marketing the title for reasons of piety.

As a journalist he received his training at Harburg Ads and News , after which Blumenberg worked for the program magazine Hörzu and as a personalia editor for the magazine Stern . He participated in the Camel Trophy three times as a reporter. The reports about this expedition made the Camel Trophy very popular in Germany and the European region. From 1991 to 2001 Blumenberg was editor-in-chief of the women's magazine Bella . He then worked as a presenter for the local TV station Hamburg 1 . With his media consulting agency, he organized the election campaign for Rudolf Lange , the top candidate of the FDP , in the 2001 Hamburg state election . In 2003, Blumenberg was head of communications for Hamburg's application for the 2012 Olympic Games . Blumenberg is considered to be the inventor of the Hamburg Cruise Days . He died on February 24, 2016 at the age of 67 in Hamburg.
