Karl Friedrich von Holleuffer (born January 2, 1804 in Benkendorf , † January 21, 1895 in Berlin ) was a Prussian lieutenant general .

Life

family

Karl Friedrich was a member of the noble family of Holleuffer . His parents were the cathedral dean and prelate of the Merseburg monastery Heinrich August von Holleuffer (1762-1844) and Friederika Elisabeth Hedwig, née von Wuthenau († 1837). His marriage to Pauline Dietzel (1804–1886) in 1634 resulted in a daughter Elisabeth (* 1835) who married the lottery taker Rudolf Doiscins.

Career

Holleuffer began his career in the Prussian army in 1818 as a cadet in Berlin and in 1821 became a second lieutenant in the 32nd Infantry Regiment . He rose to prime lieutenant in 1833 , captain and company commander in 1841 and major and commander of the III in 1848 . Battalion in the 26th Landwehr Regiment. In 1852 he became the commander of the Fusilier Battalion in the 26th Infantry Regiment . He received his promotion to lieutenant colonel in 1854 and in 1857 became commander of the 20th Infantry Regiment .
