Karl Grünewald (politician, 1833)

Karl Friedrich Wilhelm Georg Grünewald (born November 2, 1833 in Arolsen ; † December 5, 1910 in Alsfeld ) was a Hessian manufacturer and politician ( NLP ) and a member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Karl Grünewald was the son of the businessman and mayor Karl Friedrich Ludwig Grünewald (1800–1850) and his wife Christiane Luise, née Schäfer (1804–1873). Grünewald, who was a Protestant, was a landowner in Airlenbach and married Christine Margarethe Helene née Bücking (1835–1913), the daughter of Georg Dietrich Bücking, businessman, city councilor, alderman, and his wife Marie née Stock on October 22, 1857 in Alsfeld .

From 1878 to 1890 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency of the city of Alsfeld .
