Karl Mohr (politician, 1769)

Karl Matthäus Johannes Mohr (baptized February 6, 1769 in Pfeddersheim , † January 15, 1842 in Darmstadt ) was a Hessian pastor and politician and a former member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

family

Karl Mohr was the son of the Electoral Palatinate collector Philipp Ludwig Mohr and his wife Katharina Margaretha. Karl Mohr was married and of Protestant denomination.

education and profession

Karl Mohr became vicar in Heidelsheim in 1792 . From 1797 to 1807 he was second pastor at the Katharinenkirche Oppenheim , later he was a hospital attendant there.

politics

From 1826 to 1842 Mohr was elected to the second chamber of the estates for the constituency Rheinhessen 6 / Oppenheim and for the constituency Starkenburg 11 / Umstadt.
