Karl Philipp Lüderitz

Karl Philipp Lüderitz (born June 24, 1817 in Dannenberg near Lüneburg , † October 17, 1900 in Altenau in the Harz Mountains) was a royal Hanoverian lieutenant colonel , later a royal Prussian lieutenant general and finally the chief stableman .

Life

His parents were the Brunswick Major Fritz Lüderitz († November 5, 1855) and his wife Karoline Grote († February 7, 1846).

Military career

He received his education at the grammar school in Celle . After graduating, he went on December 14, 1835 as a cadet in the Hanoverian regiment Königsdragoner . There he was appointed Second Lieutenant on January 3, 1838, and Premier Lieutenant and Regimental Adjutant on August 10, 1842 . During the first Schleswig War of 1848 he fought in combat at the Lügum monastery . On November 4, 1848, he was then transferred to the regiment of the Cambridge Dragons. There he was appointed Rittmeister on April 14, 1852 and squadron chief on May 27, 1855. In 1859 he received the Guelph Order . On March 24, 1860, he came as a major in the regiment of the Queen Hussars. There he was on 25 May 1866. Lieutenant Colonel transported and on June 19, 1866 Remontedirektor ad interim appointed.
During the German War he fought against the Prussians and was also involved in the Pyrrhic victory of the Hanoverians in the battle of Langensalza . After the annexation by Prussia , he was dismissed from the Hanoverian service on January 3, 1867 at his request. On March 9, 1867, he was taken over into the Prussian army , where he was aggregated as a lieutenant colonel in the 9th Dragoons Regiment , but was immediately assigned to the Department of Remonts in the War Ministry. On January 3, 1868, he was awarded the rank of regimental commander Präses the fourth Remonte-acquisition committee, in addition he was à la suite made of the 9th Dragoons. He married on August 4, 1861 in Nienburg Eleonore Auguste Wesemann (* December 8, 1823 - May 6, 1915), a daughter of the businessman Karl Dietrich Wesemann .
