Karlheinz Sundermann (born June 20, 1922 in Coesfeld ; † October 6, 1998 there ) was a German architect and North Rhine-Westphalian construction clerk .

Karlheinz Sundermann grew up in Coesfeld. His father Heinrich August Sundermann was a farmer's son from Merfeld (today: Dülmen-Merfeld) and worked in the district office of Coesfeld from 1909 to 1945, his mother's father Josefine Berta Sundermann nee. He was a member of the art commission of the Archdiocese of Paderborn . Karlheinz Sundermann was honored with the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon in 1982 because of his pioneering commitment to monument protection - in particular the preservation and revitalization of historic town centers and town centers in East Westphalia-Lippe .
