Karolina Kołeczek (born January 15, 1993 in Sandomierz ) is a Polish athlete who specializes in the 100-meter hurdles .
Athletic career
In 2010 Karolina Kołeczek took part in the premiere of the Summer Youth Olympic Games in Singapore , but could not finish her run there. In 2011 she reached the semi-finals at the Junior European Championships in Tallinn, as well as at the Junior World Championships 2012 in Barcelona . In 2013 she won the silver medal behind the Norwegian Isabelle Pedersen at the U23 European Championships in Tampere . In 2014 she qualified for the European Championships in Zurich , where she was eliminated in the semi-finals.
In 2015 she was eliminated in the semifinals of the European Indoor Championships in Prague . Another silver medal followed at the U23 European Championships in Tallinn . At the 2015 World Championships in Beijing , she was eliminated in the semifinals . Also in 2016 she missed a final at the European Championships in Amsterdam . At the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , she was eliminated in the first round a few weeks later. At the European Indoor Championships in Belgrade in 2017 , she was eliminated in the first round. At the World Student Games in Taipei , she finished fourth and narrowly missed a medal.
She became a three-time Polish champion.
