Katalin Oláh (born July 6, 1968 ) is a former Hungarian orienteer . In 1991 and 1995 she won the world championship on the long distance.

Oláh played her first world championship in 1985 in Bendigo, Australia . She finished 36th in the individual race and ninth in the relay. Even in 1987 and 1989 she did not succeed in reaching the top of the world until she won the long-distance title at the 1991 World Championships in Czechoslovakia. On the short distance she was fifth and with the Hungarian relay, for which Andrea Horvath , Reka Toth and Ildiko Kovacs also ran, she came in fourth. In 1993 at West Point , she came in seventh place on the short distance. In 1995 she finally managed to repeat the long-distance triumph of 1991 in Detmold . On the 9.6 km route as the crow flies, she was almost two minutes ahead of the simultaneous Eija Koskivaara from Finland and Yvette Hague from Great Britain. She then started at the World Championships in 1999, 2001 and 2004 as well as at the European Championships in 2000, but could no longer achieve placements in the top ten.

Together with Sarolta Monspart, Oláh is considered the best orienteer in Hungary. Between 1985 and 2004, Oláh was named orienteer of the year in Hungary 14 times. She also won numerous national championships.
