The cadastral community Goggerwenig is one of six cadastral communities in the municipality of Sankt Georgen am Längsee in the district of Sankt Veit an der Glan in Carinthia . It has an area of ​​1193.76 hectares.

The cadastral community belongs to the district of the Klagenfurt land surveying office.

location

The cadastral municipality is located in the west of the municipality of Sankt Georgen im Längsee, in the south of the Sankt Veit an der Glan district, east of the district capital. In terms of landscape, it includes parts of the Sankt Veiter Hügelland as well as small peripheral areas of the Zollfeld and the Launsdorfer Basin . It extends from the Glan at the level of Glandorf in the southeast to close to the Längsee in the northwest, and from Siebenaich in the northwest to Podeblach in the southeast. The cadastral community extends over an altitude of 462  m above sea level. A. on the Glan up to 723  m above sea level. A. am Passberg.

Localities

As is often the case in Carinthia, the boundaries of this cadastral municipality mostly run along watercourses and roads and thus cut through settlements. The villages Dellach , Goggerwenig , Pirkfeld , Podeblach , Scheifling and Unterlatschach are entirely in the area of ​​the cadastral community of Goggerwenig . The village of Siebenaich is also entirely within the territory of the Goggerwenig cadastral community, but forms only part of the village of the same name, which is divided between the communities of Sankt Georgen am Längsee and Frauenstein. The localities of Krottendorf , Sankt Peter , Taggenbrunn , Töplach and Tschirnig , all of which belong to the municipality of Sankt Georgen, are partly in the area of ​​the cadastral community of Goggerwenig .

The cadastral municipality has belonged to the district of the Klagenfurt land surveying office since January 1st, 1998. Before that, she was part of the district of the St. Veit an der Glan land surveying office.

history

At the end of the 18th century, the Carinthian tax communities (later: cadastral communities) were formed and assigned to tax districts. The tax community Goggerwenig became part of the tax district Osterwitz .

In the course of the reforms after the revolution of 1848/49, the tax districts in Carinthia were dissolved and local communities were formed, each encompassing the area of ​​one or more tax communities. The tax and cadastral municipality Goggerwenig became part of the municipality of Sankt Georgen . The size of the cadastral community was given in 1854 as 2,106 Austrian yokes and 617 fathoms (approx. 1211 ha); At that time 305 people lived in the area of ​​the cadastral community.

In 1962 the cadastral community was reduced by about 12 hectares; the affected area could only be reached from the St. Veit area due to the Glan regulation and was affiliated to the cadastral community St. Veit an der Glan . In 1972 about 2 hectares were given to the Frauenstein community .

The cadastral community Goggerwenig belonged from 1850 to the political district of Sankt Veit an der Glan and to the judicial district of Sankt Veit an der Glan . From 1854 to 1868 it belonged to the mixed district of Sankt Veit an der Glan . Since the reform in 1868, it has again been part of the political district of Sankt Veit an der Glan and the judicial district of Sankt Veit an der Glan.

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 134 building areas with 75,288 m² and 183 gardens on 362,299 m² in the cadastral municipality of Goggerwenig , in 1989/1990 there were 151 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 563 and in 2009/2010 there were 304 buildings on 670 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 698 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 408 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 672 hectares and 413 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 519 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 419 hectares. The average soil climate in Goggerwenig is 41.8 (as of 2010).
