Unterlatschach is a village in the municipality of St. Georgen am Längsee in the district of Sankt Veit an der Glan in Carinthia . The village has 11 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020). It lies in the area of ​​the cadastral community Goggerwenig .

location

The village is located in the center of the Sankt Veit an der Glan district, in the northwest of the municipality of Sankt Georgen am Längsee, a few hundred meters west of the Längsee in the Sankt Veiter Hügelland . It includes two settlements: Unterlatschach around the Mentehof, as well as approximately 700 m south lying Plieschen .

history

The place is recorded in the Franziszeischen cadastre as Latschach ; later the name Unterlatschach prevailed, although Latschach, only 5 kilometers away in the municipality of Kappel am Krappfeld, is a few meters higher than Unterlatschach.

Located in the area of ​​the tax community Goggerwenig, the place belonged to the tax district Osterwitz in the first half of the 19th century . Since the formation of the local parishes in the course of the reforms after the revolution of 1848/49, the place has belonged to the municipality of Sankt Georgen am Längsee.
