Kate Williamson (born September 19, 1931 as Robina Jane Sparks in Ellenville , New York , † December 6, 2013 in Encino , California ) was an American actress .

Life

Williamson grew up as the daughter of actress Nydia Westman and film producer Robert Sparks . In 1954 she married the actor Al Ruscio , with whom she had four children. It wasn't until the late 1970s that she began her own career in show business.

First she played small guest roles in television series such as Our Little Farm and Young Fates . In the 1980s and 1990s she played in numerous successful series formats, including Falcon Crest , Mord ist Her Hobby , Profiler and JAG - On behalf of honor . In 1995 she starred in the recurring role of teacher Mrs. Rodgers on the sitcom Ellen .

Williamson made her big screen debut in 1984 in Richard Benjamin's comedy Time is Running Out, the Navy is calling alongside Sean Penn and Nicolas Cage . She played major supporting roles in the thriller Nightmare Lover and in the drama How I Committed Suicide for the First Time . In 2002 she starred as the grandmother of serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer in the psychological thriller Dahmer . Williamson died a few weeks after her husband's death.
