Katelyn Morgan Rowland (born March 16, 1994 in Walnut Creek ) is an American soccer goalkeeper who has been under contract with the North Carolina Courage in the National Women's Soccer League since the 2017 season .
Career
society
During her studies at the University of California, Los Angeles , Rowland played for the UCLA Bruins university team from 2011 to 2014 . At the beginning of 2015 she was committed in the second round of the college draft of the NWSL in position 17 by Kansas City FC. Rowland made her league debut on May 14, 2015 against the Western New York Flash on behalf of goalkeeper Nicole Barnhart . She contributed to winning the championship with two more appearances this season. In June 2016, Rowland moved to league competitor Western New York Flash, with whom she won the championship again straight away. In the 2016/17 season she played for the Australian first division club Newcastle United Jets before returning to the United States before the 2017 season.
National team
Rowland went through several youth national teams of the US Football Association . With the U-20 national team , she took part in the U-20 World Cup in Canada in 2014 , where she played all four USA games. In March 2016 she was part of the U-23 national team at the annual Istria Cup , where she played in one game.
