Abigail Lynn Dahlkemper (born May 13, 1993 in Lancaster , Pennsylvania ) is an American soccer player who has been under contract with the North Carolina Courage in the National Women's Soccer League since the 2017 season . She won the 2019 World Cup with the United States women's national soccer team .

Career

During her studies at the University of California, Los Angeles played Dahlkemper 2011-2014 for the local university team of UCLA Bruins and ran parallel to it in 2013 in the W-League - Franchise Pali Blues and in the following year when their successors Los Angeles Blues on . Both teams could decide the final game of the W-League for themselves. At the beginning of 2015 Dahlkemper was signed in third place by the Flash in the first round of the NWSL's college draft . In 2014 and 2015, Dahlkemper made five appearances in the US U-23 national team as part of the six-nation tournament in La Manga . In March 2016 she was part of the U-23 national team at the annual Istria Cup and played three more games. On October 19, 2016, Dahlkemper made his debut in a friendly against Switzerland in the senior national team of the United States. In 2017 it was used for eleven appearances and in 2018 in 17 of 20 games, including the SheBelieves Cup , Tournament of Nations and CONCACAF Women's Gold Cup 2018 , with which the USA qualified for the 2019 World Cup. On May 1, 2019, she was nominated for the 2019 World Cup . At the World Cup, she was used as one of four players in the squad in all seven games. She only missed the last eight minutes in the group game against Chile , in which most of the regular players were spared, when another substitute came on for her.
